ISP has been providing services to Tompkins County’s immigrants since 2007. As part of Catholic Charities, our target population is people who live at or below the economic margins. Overall, we strive to be a hub in the community where immigrants, who are experiencing either language or cultural barriers, can go to get their very unique needs met. In 2010, we began to offer legal immigration services – something that was greatly needed in Tompkins County. ISP director, Sue Chaffee (pictured left), became accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals so Catholic Charities could begin offering low cost or pro bono legal immigration services.
